Skierfe has advised RED (Rico Estate Development) on the sale of a 17,000 sq.m. retail project in Bernstorp to Costco Wholesale, a NASDAQ-listed operator of warehouse retail stores. The site will be Costco’s second establishment in Sweden.
Over the past decade, RED has developed Bernstorp into a prominent commercial area in the Öresund region. In addition to establishing Costco, RED has facilitated the establishment of Biltema, which is opening a facility of 11,000 sq.m. in the fall of 2024.
RED is a privately owned real estate development company with its main focus on retail properties. The company works exclusively with external retail parks.
